Terms of Service

Last updated · April 23, 2026

These terms (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Plumb (“the Service”), operated by Paper Birch Labs (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The short version

Plumb is software for small custom-build shops — quotes, projects, tasks, materials, and read-only links to Xero and Melio. We try to be careful with your data. You own what you put in. Don't use Plumb to do anything illegal or abusive and we'll keep running the Service for you.

2. Accounts

You need a Google account to sign in. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. One workspace is for one shop; if you run multiple shops, create separate workspaces.

3. Your content

Projects, quotes, tasks, attachments, notes, and any other data you put into Plumb remain yours. You grant us a limited license to host and process your content solely to operate the Service for you. We will not sell your content.

4. Third-party integrations

Plumb can read from Google Calendar, Xero, and Melio when you connect them. We only use those connections for the features they enable and we respect the revoke flow in each provider. If you disconnect an integration, we stop reading from it and delete the tokens on our side.

5. Acceptable use

  • No illegal, infringing, or harmful content.
  • No attempts to break, probe, or circumvent the Service.
  • No automated bulk scraping of other users' data.
  • No resale of the Service without our written permission.

6. Beta status

Plumb is currently in private beta. Features may change, break, or move. We'll try to give notice for anything that could lose data, but during beta you should keep your own backups of anything truly critical.

7. Fees

Beta access is free. When we introduce paid plans, we'll give current users at least 30 days' notice before any charge applies and a chance to export or delete your data first.

8. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, we'll give you a reasonable window to export your data before we delete it.

9. Warranty and liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim (or US$100 if you paid nothing).

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll email the address on file and update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
